The visual editor setting is under Users. If you go to edit a user's settings there is a checkbox to turn the visual editor on/off.

Sweetness, been looking for something exactly like that. This is probably a stupid question, but how exactly do you turn off the visual editor in Wordpress?

I did that by hand by manipulating the registry folder HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell. The advantage is, you can define the command line string as you like, so you can even set your console window to a different color. That way, you can also define 3 console commands (e.g. console green, console blue, console orange or something), which is extremely useful when you've got to deal with tons of console windows at the same time :)

Indeed, this can make your code a little obtuse when you're reading it. I find that even if I don't do it this way remembering that I should makes me avoid the error anyway.

Yeah, I prefer this method, but my boss hates it because, fair enough, it does make your code less simple and readable.

Yeah, I am working a game engine and was getting really bogged down in everything and then I took some time out from making a complex game recently (Tetris) and it was very refreshing. It was good to actually have something almost releasable after just one day. Of course, now I've put of releasing to add all sorts of other things into it such as split screen, proper menus and possibly a few power ups.
